More and more electronic components in motorcycles
Electronics have also become commonplace in motor cycles with the installation of ABS. Indeed, most two-wheeled vehicles today contain a variety of electronic components: from engine management to the instrument panel.
Scooter and Mopeds
Many semiconductor solutions for inexpensive vehicles
Because of the ever more stringent emissions regulations, electronics are also making advances in scooters and mopeds - and even for the instrument panel of these inexpensive two-wheelers there are already sophisticated solutions based on semiconductor devices.
Trikes and Quad bikes
Great driving feeling, safety and comfort
Driving pleasure stands at the forefront for most trikes and quad bikes. With the aid of electronics, the manufacturers can construct trikes and quad bikes that are not just particularly efficient, but that also provide more comfort and safety together with driving pleasure.
250 W speeds up to 25 km/h
At EBV Elektronik, the term E-bike means electrically powered bicycles of all classes. In the first instance there are the E-bikes known as ‘Pedelecs’ in Germany, which assist the rider with a maximum of 250 W at speeds up to 25 km/h. For example, a few years ago EBV Elektronik in co-operation with Infineon, specified complete solutions for Pedelecs. EBV has subsequently and systematically developed this know-how. The system solutions for E-bikes go beyond the normal offering in the scope of electric mobility because components for a bicycle do not necessarily have to be qualified for automotive applications. A good approach thereby consists of motor control solutions from chip manufacturers based on ARM® Cortex™-M3/M4 processors, which fit directly into E-bikes.
